Long Time, No See...

You'll excuse me if I haven't post anything new to this blog for the past couple of years. No, I haven't died yet but all Draksen ex members are scattered doing their own thing. Although we keep in touch on a regular basis, the prospect of a reunion, with any given line up is remote at best: Alex Isaac has his own band, Fahrenheit Paradox plus his day job and he also runs an arts center called "Guitar Maniacs" which offers a guitar/amp repair shop, a shop where you can buy guitars, amps and other accessories, a recording studio and even a stage where bands can reserve to make a gig.

Tacho is busy with his day job as well as Fabian, though fabian is currently playing with me, along with the Pimentel Bros. Jorge and Juan Carlos. Yes, we're still Broken Bit and we still do cover songs. We've become lazy to a fault to make original stuff, though we have more riffs to actually make a 6 song EP. I hope we get around to making a demo or an EP in the near future.

Martin Lugo is a successful lawyer and Jobito Pantera still is the leader of Garigoles and a very successful audiovisual artist. Luiz Ahumada still pounds his guitar with Cyber Death Metal legends Hardware, Mike Moon is a marine in the US armed forces, Andres Rodriguez is somewhere probably planning another musical project and Frank Uribe still is probably with his band, the Meatfückers.

As for myself, 2024 has been a very rough year. No details, but I can assure you it has been by far the roughest year of my life on a personal and professional level, but shit happens and I'll have to weather this storm out somehow. I'd like to take time to thank some of my friends who have been kind enough to give me words of support throughout these miserable times: Carlos Suarez, Cesar Perez, Jorge & Juan Carlos Pimentel, Francisco Salguero, Manuel Fernandez del Valle, Rogelio Aviña, Luis Beas, Ramon Dergal, Rodrigo Lozano, Moises Padilla, Adolfo Martinez, Edgar Higuera, my Parents, Juan Carlos Guerrero, Victor Guerrero, Oscar E. Bourde & wife, Pedro Rodriguez, Alex Partida, Jeff Argenziano, Gaby Jones, My sis Gaby Catalan, Chepe Gutierrez, Jose Alberto Gonzalez Duarte and my one and only prince: Bagghi, AKA Ian Ernesto Catalan: you make the overcast skies bright as a spring day!
